DVP Claw technology at the International Rotating Equipment Conference

The DVP claw technology was the focus of the study "Experimental and Computational Investigation of the Working Process in a Dry Claw Vacuum Pump", presented on September 25th in Wiesbaden, Germany, during the 4th International Rotating Equipment Conference, organized by VDMA Pumps + Systems and VDMA Compressors, Compressed Air and Vacuum Technology Association.

Among the technical lectures, which every three years show the innovations and exciting new developments in the vacuum sector worldwide, the study on DVP technology, conducted by DVP LAB and simulation software companies Gamma Technologies and Convergent Science, analyzed the internal flow of the Claw Pump using three different methods: experimental measurements, a one-dimensional system model, and a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. Both models are extensively validated against the measurements.

CPAP Vacuum Systems, the new Systems with Claw Pumps

DVP showcases the CPAP Vacuum Systems with double and triple PA 155 and PA 315 Claw Pump. Developed to be used in centralized vacuum systems, the CPAP Vacuum Systems are very advantageous especially from the standpoint of energy savings, because the pumps are only switched on automatically as the user requires.
Fitted on a vertical support, to make the system as compact as possible, the CPAP Vacuum Systems are equipped with FCM filters to protect the claw pumps from taking in any impurities present in the system and electric control panel, which manages all the setting operations and control of the operating parameters. A ball valve placed on the intake of each individual claw pump allows to isolate it from the system during maintenance, already reduced to a minimum, by virtue of the lack of friction between the moving rotors. CPAP Vacuum System are available in sizes with maximum pumping speed of 750 m3/h.

Kzero, the new Oil Lubricated Rotary Vane Pumps LC 106/151 series

DVP showcases Kzero, the new Oil Lubricated Rotary Vane Pumps LC 106 and LC 151 series. The Kzero series is the best solution to offer lower operating temperature in those sectors where working environments reach temperatures of 40°C or higher.
The LC 106 Kzero and LC 151 Kzero (data sheet) Vacuum Pumps are designed with a totally renovated body pump. The use of the check valve rubber instead of the plate silencer gives greater strength and less deterioration in contact with oil and solvent. The insertion of the fan guarantees heat reduction as well as optimal oil maintenance. The LC 106 Kzero and LC 151 Kzero pumps are equipped with oil check valve, exhaust mist eliminator, automatic floating oil recovery valve, shock mounts, oil filter with by-pass, flexible transmission coupling, and they are suitable for continuous operation within a pressure range of 400 mbar to 4 mbar.
